IQH is committed to sharing useable disease prevention measures data for Medicare beneficiaries in Mississippi to help reduce the disease burden in the state. This database is available for healthcare professionals and other interested persons to access statistical information statewide and by county on colorectal screening, diabetes A1C, diabetes eye exam, diabetes lipid profile, influenza and pneumococcal immunization, and mammography.

All prevention measures data are abstracted from Medicare claims. The measures have the common criterion of including eligible Medicare beneficiaries who do not have HMO coverage during the measurement period.

The Medicare Part B claims data available in this program are de-identified and are reported in aggregate format.
