Job Title Nursing Home Project Leader-part time
Special Notes IQH is in need of an RN to work two days a week in the nursing home setting to assist with recruitment, training, project implementation and reporting C-Diff to NHSN. We will be working with a minimum of 30 facilities. These facilities will be located predominately in the North part of the state expanding to Grenada county. In addition there will be homes in the Meridian area and Marion County. This person may work remote and will need to be willing to travel.
Long Description The Nursing Home Project Leader will be involved in nursing home activities including feedback and educational efforts related to project management. The primary responsibility includes serving as project leader as assigned by the State Director. Travel: Statewide travel for client meetings, etc. (approximately 60%); some overnight travel required. After hours and weekend work may be required. Must provide valid MS driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.

Education Education: Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in the state of Mississippi. BSN a plus, but not required.
Experience Experience: Five years nursing experience in nursing home, hospital, and/or medication reconciliation required. MDS assessment, F-tag experience and nursing home infection control a plus.
Division Job Knowledge: Must have excellent communication skills for on site teaching and public speaking at conferences, etc. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Functions as a project leader as assigned by State Director. • Assists with development of work plans and monitoring progress toward accomplishing work. • Stays current with CMS guidelines and materials related to assigned project. • Employs principles of Continuous Quality Improvement in working with participants. • Has knowledge of the project process as set forth in the Scope of Work and is able to document all areas of project activity. • Provides assistance to participants involved in the project process, i.e., preparing improvement plans, providing educational materials, providing assistance, and/or advice on data collection and measurement for improvement. • Maintains good rapport with participants in order to accomplish the goals of the health care quality improvement program. • Assists in collaborative preparation of internal and external project reports, including reports required by CMS. • Maintains monthly contact with project participants. • Supports and upholds standards and policies of IQH. • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
